 For much of our history, as it is in many states, the Secretary of State’s office has been regarded as basically the chief elections office, the repository of corporate records and “the keeper of the great seal.”  While these are all important and vital functions, technological advances and the confluence of need and opportunity have made it possible for the office to be so much more.
